As you know, John Mugabi from Uganda, Africa is here in the U.S….making his rounds!

John sees snow for the first time in his life! Not much snow at the equator!

We learned something new about John…he really likes fire-trucks!  Check out these fun photos :).  I’m sure Esther (wife) and children at home will enjoy seeing these pics!

Today, we want to report on the wonderful things the Lord has provided through His people so far!

NEEDS MET SO FAR!

• Most time-sensitive need of $25,000 for 6 new classrooms shells has been met! Muslim influence is increasing in Uganda, and these classrooms will allow the school to share Christ with more young people.   Nkumba Christian Schools offer Christ-centered education, daily chapels, counseling and after-school Bible clubs.  We want to bring the youth of Uganda into THIS environment to meet the LIVING God!
• Three university students have been sponsored–these are young men targeted to take over parts of the ministry in several years so John can focus solely on prison evangelism
• 10 new children have been sponsored.
• 1 seminary student has been sponsored
  
• New microphones and a projector have been donated.
• The Phoenix sister-school has given a love-offering and several classes have raised money.  We’ll dedicate a post to them in a few weeks when school is out!

DONATED ITEMS NEEDED

Luggage space is VERY limited, so we have a VERY short list!  Please DO NOT buy anything on this list, as most items are owned by someone who would like to donate them!  Save cash to donate toward food, which is always sorely needed there!

• USED clothing- 5 pair of men’s shorts, size 32/34; 4 pair of men’s shorts, size 40/42 (for the “big boys” at the school) DONATED!!!
  
• 16 matching or coordinating men’s T-shirts–for use by leadership at conferences (can be left-over from any event, etc)–DONATED 5/12/09!
  
• 1 pair of white pants size 40/42 waist, length 34
  
• 1 salmon (pink) long-sleeve dress shirt, neck size 16/17, sleeve length 34/35 DONATED!!!
  
• Christian DVD’s, including: The Ten Commandments, Fireproof, Pilgrim’s Progress, The Passion, Chronicles of Narnia series, Knife and the Switchblade, etc. DONATED!
  
• One large suitcase DONATED!
