US Leadership - Frank and Cindy May

John Mugabi, Frank and Cindy May

Frank and Cindy communicate with donors and with the sister-school (NCS), and oversee the U.S. side of the ministry.

We began partnering in ministry with John Mugabi in 1996. He was a young man of 19 years old, attending Bible School and leading a fledgling prison evangelism ministry. Cindy’s dad, Bill Phillips, began traveling to Uganda in 1994, and met John on one of his first trips there. He was impressed with John’s maturity, sincerity and faithfulness.

We were married in 1991 and hope someday to add children to our family through adoption. For now, we are loving many little “chocolate drops”– as our family likes to refer to the children in Africa–from a distance. We currently live in Phoenix, AZ.

We have been profoundly influenced by Randy Alcorn’s books on money—both The Treasure Principle and Money, Possessions & Eternity.

Mid-way through 2009, we read an article in Christianity Today about David Platt, pastor of The Church at Brook Hills in Birmingham, AL. We watched “the most powerful sermon in the history of the Southern Baptist Pastor’s Convention,” and then delved into His sermon-series, RADICAL and Faith Works, which are gripping, compelling, challenging and anything but boring. David Platt unapologetically speaks truth. We believe these video series are a must-see for every Christian. You will see links to the sermon series at the top of the side bar at right.

Our prayer and hope for ourselves and for the body of Christ in the West is that we would delight in and worship God alone–not our personal comfort, enjoyment, entertainment, financial security, etc. Our delayed obedience or disobedience in keeping so many resources for ourselves is costly for those in both physical and spiritual need around the world.

Bryan and I have 11 wonderful children, 4 “home-grown” (biological), and 7 adopted from China, Russia and Ethiopia.  Perhaps two things have impacted our lives the most:  The Worldwide Perspectives Class, and a Steven Curtis Chapman concert.  It was at his concert one night that I heard him talk about adoption and a seed of desire was sewn in my heart.  Now, 8 years later, we have adopted 5 children.  The Worldwide Perspectives (Pathways) Class is one that has transformed our understanding of our mission here in this world.  We attended the class, and then led it for several years.  It was at this class that we met Frank and Cindy and became fast friends.  We have partnered with Remember the Poor for several years, overseeing the partnership with the ministry in Kisii, Kenya, and in 2011, the board asked me to serve as their new Director of Operations.  It is one of my greatest pleasures in life to serve in this capacity.

Charlie and I have been married for….a lot of years! Ministry world-wide has been important to us, and we have supported many ministries. My father was a minister, and over the years we have had 13 family members in ministry, including one of our sons. In 2007, the boys from Uganda (Mark, Seggy, and Experito) burst into our lives, and we were changed forever! We fell in love with them and became burdened for our friends on the other side of the world. In 2014, we completed the Worldwide Perspectives course. That cemented our determination to continue supporting the Uganda ministries and Remember The Poor. I have been a bookkeeper for years and was delighted when Frank and Cindy asked me to be part of this ministry.

  1. Dear Precious Servant of God
Greetings to you in the wonderful name of our lord Jesus Christ! i would like to inform about our ministry and the activities of our ministry. My name is Pastor S.Chinna (Orissa). From state Orissa INDIA I was born and brought up in Christian family. At the age of 15years I accepted the lord as my personal savior. After my graduation B.Sc. I applied Bible College in Ban galore. After my B.Th again I applied for M.Div in Ban galore. After that I came to Andhra Pradesh for ministry. I gone Andhra Pradesh many different villages and interior villages to do ministry. I was married in May 29.2007. God gave me wonderful life partner. Her name is Theresa she sings wonderful songs. God has blessed us wonderful male Son. We both are completely involved in ministry. With 15 co-workers. We have a great vision for the unreached to reach and to touch the untouched. We are sharing the word of God many poor and needy people and lost people of A.P.Visakhapatnam Dist and East Godavari Dist. Of India. God gave us wonder vision through Mathew 28: 19-21. Fulfilling the great commission.
God is using us many places of small urban and rural areas of Visakha Dist. A.P. India. We are winning the lost and reaching the every unreached village of East costal districts of Andhra Pradesh State. Presently we are doing ministry in 30 villages. We are having 15 coworkers. They are working with us. I am traveling in different churches of our villages.
We are reaching them by visiting door to door and personally and conducting open meetings and creative ways
We saw many people are blessed with the word of God. And many of them are committed their life and accepted the lord Jesus Christ as personal savior.
There are many villages people are still in darkness. They still don’t know about Jesus Christ. We want to reach out those villages and plant churches and start children’s homes.
Many churches and the pastors of interior villages are not getting any kind of source and they need financial support and they need good church buildings. In villages pastors are not getting any kind of financial support and the pastors facing many difficulties.
In these villages thousands of children’s are school drop outs they are not getting any help from their parents and even in the villages mainly untouchable of low caste and in the community they have no rights to study with high communities. So none of them are giving hope and education. When I saw this situation I cried and I asked to the lord to give hope for them by giving education, shelter and above all the love of God.
Thousands poor widows, handicapped and old age people are not getting enough food. And not having proper shelter to stay.

In our place people are strongly worshipping Idols, Animals, Human beings, and Trees and filled with witchcrafts.
So far we have reached more than 30 villages and planted 22 churches and builded 5 churches.
We are now giving special coaching to the school dropouts and orphans children’s in 4 places with 227 children’s and we also giving food for them. Our dream to have a children’s homes in different places and English school for them.

If you would like to visit our ministry and see the work our activities and bless the word of God in our churches. plz visit our place.
If the spirit is leading you help these poor and needy children’s, churches, pastors, widows, handicapped and the needs of our ministry kindly contribute your offerings, tithes, special gifts, donation and etc to our ministry. As the lord leads you.

We will look forward to hear from you.

Isaiah 58: “Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen: to loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke, to set the oppressed free and break every yoke?
Is it not to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter – when you see the naked, to clothe him, and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood?
Then your light will break forth like the dawn, and your healing will quickly appear; then your righteousness will go before you, and the glory of the Lord will be your rear guard.
Then you will call, and the Lord will answer; you will cry for help, and he will say:
    Here am I.”

  2. Waseem Yousaf says:

    Dear Brother,

The Lord be with you and make God’s face to shine upon you and give you peace.
I am Waseem Yousaf from Pakistan . I have studied your web site, and
have found it to be one of many wonderful sites offered on the
internet which gets to the Truth of the Word of God. As is the case
with others whom I have contacted, you have created material which is
full of knowledge concerning development of religious faith. Living in
Pakistan, we Christians face many obstacles in getting access to God’s Word. Most
people in Pakistan speak Urdu, and are not capable of understanding the
English language. Because of limited access in our native tongue, my
people have a true hunger for fresh Christian Perspectives.

Proficient in both English and my native languages, I would like to
offer my services as a translator to you. Presenting your material in
both Urdu and Punjabi would be a true blessing to the Pakistani and
Indian people. For a nominal fee, I will enable you to bring the message
of Salvation to a most deserving people.
Blessing you in advance for your consideration,

    In Him,
    Waseem Yousaf
