Oh, Give Thanks to the Lord!

Charles' orphaned nieces and nephews--living in their new place, all shined up for school

AFTER: Charles' orphaned nieces and nephews--all sponsored and shined up for school! (#6 missed the photo op!)

Oh give thanks to the LORD; call upon his name;
make known his deeds among the peoples!
Sing to him; sing praises to him;
tell of all his wondrous works!
Glory in his holy name;
let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice!…
Remember the wondrous works that he has done.

I Chronicles 16

What a perfect day (Thanksgiving!) to give thanks to the Lord and to remember his wondrous works.

Here are a few highlights:

  • Photos of Charles’ orphaned nieces & nephews above and below…all sponsored and at their new home with their aunt and uncle
    Charles with his nieces & nephews prior to sponsorship

    BEFORE: Charles with his orphaned nieces & nephews prior to sponsorship

  • The matching gift for the new school kitchen ALREADY met!  If you haven’t had a chance to read it yet, that was from Monday’s post.
  • Herbert is now sponsored…pictures of his younger brother coming up on Monday! Currently 106 children are sponsored.
  • And let’s not forget all the safety requirements for the school were met.  The Lord brought in all $32,000.
  • Conversion and baptism of many students
  • Conversion of many prisoners and a guard! (Through the prison evangelism ministry.)
  • Cephas Mugabi received his heart procedure!
    We have about 1000 pictures of Seggy...it was hard to choose just one! This was taken in Masaka after a chicken was given by a Ugandan woman to Nkumba as a gift--as a "thank you" for caring for her son, Alex.

    We have about 1000 pictures of Seggy...it was hard to choose just one! This was taken in Masaka after a chicken was given by a Ugandan woman to Nkumba as a gift--as a "thank you" to John for taking care of her son for many years.

  • Today, the Lord has granted our dear friend Seggy 28 years of life!  Happy Birthday Seggy!

High-five, Jesus! (This phrase coined by Molly, who is 2 years old today!)

Then all the people said, “Amen!” and praised the LORD. I Chronicles 16:36
